講者 Frank Pasquale 教授是美國的法律學家，擅長研究 AI 和機器學習過程與法律的關係。目前為康乃爾科技學院和康乃爾法學院的法學教授，曾經擔任美國國家人工智慧諮詢委員會（2022-2024）委員。他所著作的「二十一世紀機器人新律」、「黑箱社會」，分析各領域採用人工智慧所涉及的法律與政策。

AI 技術快速發展對既有法律體系帶來衝擊，包含責任歸屬、資料治理與規範正當性等等議題。本工作坊邀請 Frank Pasquale 教授進行演講，並設有論壇環節，邀請與會者共同參與交流與討論。

Frank Pasquale is a Professor of Law at Cornell Tech and Cornell Law School, and is an expert on the law of artificial intelligence (AI), algorithms, and machine learning. His books include The Black Box Society and New Laws of Robotics: Defending Human Expertise in the Age of AI, which analyzes the law and policy influencing the adoption of AI in varied fields. His work has been translated into over a dozen languages, and he is recognized globally as a thought leader in law and technology.
